Design strategy framework

A framework for defining the design strategy

The challenge

Six products lacked a shared framework for translating business needs into clear design priorities. This made it difficult to align product understanding, coordinate design efforts, and establish a common direction with the business over a one-year horizon.

Approach

A design strategy framework was developed in collaboration with design leads from all six products. It created a structured process for responding to business requests, aligning product and design perspectives, identifying strategic priorities, and defining a shared annual development vector.

Outcome

The framework was fully integrated into the business line’s planning process and became a common strategic tool for design and business teams. It was subsequently scaled across the entire product design team, enabling more consistent decision-making and long-term alignment.
